Duties and Responsibilities

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team on a wide variety of transactions and at different stages of the transaction cycle. Your Key duties will include;

  • Manage and Grow the Transaction Advisory practice in the Toronto office.
  • Report to the Transaction Advisory practice Partners.
  • Identifying key issues, planning, executing and supervising financial analysis and coordinating other work streams
  • Handling complex issues, interpreting results, reporting key findings, evaluating a business’ historical performance and sustainability of earnings/cash flows, working capital cycles, financial projections, key contractual commitments, accounting policies and management control environment
  • Establishing credibility with clients and fostering successful commercial relationships
  • Participating in engagement teams with access to senior client executives, attorneys, and private equity investors
  • Writing detailed reports and analysis
  • Providing support/assistance for proposals and contributing to growing the practice

A successful Candidate

  • 7 to 10 years of accounting and/or finance experience in a consulting and/or corporate environment
  • CA, CPA or equivalent or previous mergers and acquisition experience in an advisory, corporate, or private equity environment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lead projects with minimal supervision and effectively coach, develop, and manage junior team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally
  • MBA, CFA or CBV holders are encouraged to apply
